Understanding the ECO4 Scheme
What is ECO4?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) is a government scheme that runs from 2022 to 2026, designed to help improve the energy efficiency of homes across Great Britain. Under this scheme, larger energy suppliers are obligated to fund energy efficiency improvements for households, particularly targeting those in fuel poverty and vulnerable situations
Research has consistently shown strong links between inadequate home heating and serious health conditions. Cold, damp homes create ideal conditions for mold growth and dust mites, which are major triggers for asthma and other respiratory conditions.
Cold temperatures cause blood vessels to constrict, increasing blood pressure and putting additional strain on the heart. This can accelerate the development of cardiovascular diseases and increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes, particularly among elderly populations.
Health Impacts of Poor Heating
Finding Eco was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to bridge the gap between vulnerable households who need help with their heating and the government schemes designed to support them. We recognized that while excellent support exists through programs like ECO4, many of the people who would benefit most from these schemes simply don't know they exist or how to access them.
We firmly believe that confidence and charisma are learnable skills, not innate talents. Our comprehensive training programs take people from all backgrounds and provide them with professional sales training, communication skills, and the confidence to make a real difference in people's lives.
